New Research Programme: "Analysis and Risk Appraisal of Fire Incidents in Public Commuter Transportation Tunnels"

As a result the prime objective of the investigation is to select a suitable risk analysis and to apply it for the intended case of application. Various fire incidents taking account of the probability of incidents and estimation of the extent of damage are to be assessed using this risk analysis. The outcome must be to arrive at a position to assess which fire incidents have to be included in evaluating safety and which measures are required in order to assure sufficient safety by means of this risk analysis.
This project is being executed jointly by the STUVAtec GmbH, Cologne/D and Ernst Basler + Partner AG, Zollikon/CH. Initial results are scheduled to be tabled at the end of the year.
