Activation of the restoring forces of elastomer sealing profiles by pushing together tubbing samples in order to test the profile design. If the sealing profile is not correctly chosen, the concrete is damaged (cracks, spalling).

Testing of ring-shaped tunnel linings (max. height = 4 m, external diameter = approx. 10 to 15 m, max. load 1 000k N /m2) in order to determine deformation behaviour under various load conditions. The measured value recording equipment (approx. 550 measured value recorders) makes it possible to produce an instantaneous picture of the load and deformation state every second.

Trials with injection hoses for the sealing joints in concrete structures with polyurethane, cement suspension and acrylic resins. The aim is to show technical application limits, e. g. double injection with single-channel injection hoses.

The cutting of rock for testing cutting heads and cutter picks of various road headers and measuring specific dust emission from various types of rock. With the help of these trials it is possible to optimise the cutting tools from an economic and working safety point of view.

Testing of tyres, shock absorbers, road surfaces, expansion joints and roadway markings under extreme conditions (temperature range + 60 °C to - 30 °C, axle load 10 t, maximum speed 100 km/h) in order to be able to simulate high traffic loads in a short time.
