Injection workshop organised by WEBAC and STUVA a great success
For some years now, the technology of injecting reactive resins has been revolutionising the sealing of structures. Particularly in tunnelling and foundation engineering, there is now an almost unmanageable variety of products and countless possible applications. It is becoming increasingly difficult for planners and users of sealing measures to keep track of the latest developments. It was precisely for this target group that STUVA decided six years ago to organise a compact workshop every two years together with the system manufacturer WEBAC, which brings participants up to date with the latest rapid developments within two days.
The hand-picked speakers from Germany and abroad offered participants at the completely sold-out event a correspondingly broad spectrum of presentations. If you want to find out exactly what you missed this time, you can read about all the presentation topics via the adjacent link to the programme.
This time, the focus was on first-hand information on the following topics:
- Reducing production losses and downtime during construction
- System change from reacting to emergencies to acting on planned interventions
- Quality assurance and continuous monitoring
- Best practice processes practice processes
- Awareness and sensitisation to the characteristics of grouting measures
- Cost reduction and conservation of resources
- Environmental protection
Between the series of presentations, WEBAC demonstrated the diverse application possibilities of its products in the open air. Whether veil or lifting injections: For most of the workshop participants, it was the first time they had been able to watch the injection agents at work directly, because what could be observed directly behind the acrylic glass walls of the test set-ups takes place in real practice, invisible to the human eye, directly in the masonry to be injected. It was therefore no wonder that during the coffee breaks and also at the fantastic festive evening in the Schwarzkaue of the Eisen & Schlägel colliery in Herten, there was a constant exchange of ideas and intensive discussions with each other. The intensive two-day event certainly flew by for all participants, as the wide range of information and varied practical examples meant that there was never a dull moment.
For the joint organisers WEBAC and STUVA, the enthusiasm for the programme presented was of course a nice confirmation of the extensive preparation and at the same time proof that this seminar will be needed again in the near future, as the rapid development of injection technology seems to be never-ending. It is therefore already clear that there will be a new edition of this workshop in two years' time. Interested parties should therefore keep the summer of 2027 free. As soon as the exact date is finalised, you will find it here. But then you shouldn't wait too long to book. This year, the event was fully booked to the last place and it is to be feared that places for next time will be snapped up quickly. The rate of "repeat offenders" has already been extremely high this year and word is likely to spread even further about what a highly informative and entertaining format this workshop has become.
