Tunnel Emisor Oriente
Leakage tests on tubbing segments and sealing profiles
The 62 km long "Emisor Oriente" tunnel with a diameter of 8.70 m is one of the world's largest canal projects. It serves as the flood protection of Mexico City and discharges up to 150 m³ of water per second.
Taking into account the extreme loads, the STUVA carried out leak tests on the tubbing segments and the sealing profiles in advance.
