STUVA’s Photovoltaic System Now Operational: Generating Its Own Solar Power
When STUVA’s new headquarters were completed seven years ago, the foundations for sustainable energy use had already been laid. An efficient heat pump, combined with so-called chilled ceiling panels through which either warm or cold water circulates as required, provides a comfortable indoor climate throughout the year. Now that the heat pump’s energy demand is being met sustainably from the company’s own rooftop solar installation, without the need for fossil fuels, the working environment at STUVA feels even more pleasant. The powerful photovoltaic system also supplies self-generated electricity for equipment used in our experimental halls.
These recent investments form part of STUVA’s long-term strategy to further improve energy efficiency and sustainability. The next step will be the installation of charging points for electric vehicles on the company premises, which will be available to both employees and tenants in the future. Through these measures, STUVA underlines its commitment to acting responsibly and implementing sustainable solutions for the future.
