9th Munich Tunnelling Symposium
The planning, construction and maintenance of tunnels place the highest demands on all those involved. The increasing complexity of the tasks requires close, interdisciplinary collaboration between a wide range of specialisms - from geotechnical and rock mechanical exploration to structural design and the selection of suitable building materials and construction methods through to operational equipment. In addition, aspects such as sustainability as well as civil and public law framework conditions in tunnelling are becoming increasingly important.
The Munich Tunnelling Symposium has proven itself as an established platform for professional exchange between clients, construction companies, planners, scientists and consultants. Current developments are presented here and practical issues are discussed.
The STUVA and the Förderverein Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau der Universität der Bundeswehr München - with the support of the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV), the Bavarian Chamber of Civil Engineers, the Bavarian State Ministry of Housing, Construction and Transport and the construction industry - cordially invite you to participate in the 9th Munich Tunnelling Symposium on 3 July 2026. The focus this year will be on the following topics
- Tunnelling projects in Bavaria
- Sustainability in tunnelling
- Contract models and risk management
- Major international projects
