Road safety symposium with Audit Forum 2024 in Weimar
In addition to numerous other speakers on a wide range of topics relating to road safety, Dr Dirk Boenke, Head of the Traffic & Environment Department at STUVA e. V., will report on results of the research project "Barrier-free design of crossing facilities at local crossings of federal trunk roads". The research project, which was commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport, has been supervised by the BASt (Federal Highway Research Institute) since 2018 (FE 02.0406/2016/FGB).
The annual FGSV Symposium looks back on a long tradition and was organised for the first time in 2009. However, it is not only aimed at auditors, but at everyone involved in road safety issues. This year, the focus is on current issues such as distance behaviour on motorways, pedestrian and cycle traffic and turbo roundabouts. The audit forum on the second day of the event is dedicated to auditors working in the field. They will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, discuss examples and discuss questions arising in their work with the speakers.
